Let’s be friends!

Here it is! Our new space for conversation!

Please be patient with me while I learn things in this new virtual world of mine, and learn how to personalize to better reflect the ideas and creative mindset that I’m excited to be starting a new journey on!

One of my strongest beliefs is that we have no final arrival, we are always looking ahead of us. However there is great appreciation in consistency and being ever present in life. So this will be a space of constant learning, and sharing, and growing.

In terms of my personal background, living with a person who had developed a lactose allergy from an incredibly upset gut, I went a long period of time without exposing my body to lactose myself. When my body has anything with lactose in it now, it puts me to sleep! Imagine having butter on toast and needing to nap 30 minutes later! Going to a Christmas party last month had me making sure I had a designated driver if I spent the first hour at the cheese and crackers table! Although it’s not the most common reaction, it is listed as a possibility when you research food allergies and intolerances.

Living a life watching labels for ingredients that you need to avoid, you begin to notice all sorts of other information on the product, and you become much more aware of what you’re asking for your body to process for nourishment. Sometimes, it’s exactly that – more for your body to process than it is going to gain nourishment from. Sometimes it can be a food labeled as healthy, but your body doesn’t agree. And that’s when listening to what your body needs and wants is so important to be balanced. Balanced eating and balanced living are connected; you can eat because you feel bad, or you can feel bad because of what you eat.

This is my personal welcome to you, while I take you along on my journey, and share with you all the knowledge I am so fortunate to experience!
