It’s Sunday, and the fresh start of a new month calls for one thing: slowing down to nourish.
This morning, I prepared one of my favourite hormone-happy breakfasts: a coconut chia pudding with sliced strawberries, flaxseed, and a drizzle of maple syrup (fresh from the family sap collection this spring!). It’s simple, seasonal, and gentle on digestion — exactly what I needed today.
But more than the food, it was the moment that mattered.
☕ The warmth of my mug in hand.
🍓 The quiet before the day begins (only getting so many before the baby arrives!!)
📓 A few lines in my journal asking, “How do I want to feel this week? How can I nourish my body AND love the food I’m eating?”
This, to me, is holistic nutrition — not just what you eat, but how you eat it.
With the baby on the way, it’s more important to me than ever to find the small meals that pack a punch of nutrition. Small, frequent meals help with the nausea, and keeps my energy up throughout the day!
So here’s a gentle invitation:
Tomorrow morning, make your breakfast a relaxation ritual, not a rush. Sit with it. Smell it. Let it nourish more than just your hunger.
You deserve that kind of care.
And your body will thank you for it!
